Before fall break, we distributed dinner bags to 35 of our families here at AJ for Thanksgiving. Found inside were rolls, a chicken, mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, stuffing, cake mix, and granola bars.

Second grade students at AJES have prepared a Thanksgiving Music Program under Mrs. Poling. Please join us on Thursday, November 16 at 10:00 in the gym.
Over the next two weeks, AJES kindergarten students will be coming home with their first school library book. Students have learned proper book care for the last few months. Happy reading!

Our Communities in Schools and Family Outreach Facilitator had their first parent breakfast of the school year this morning starting with Pre-K and Kindergarten. This is earned when students miss 3 or less days in the first 9 weeks. Those who had perfect attendance were also awarded medals.
West Virginia author, Colleen Driscoll, came and read her book, "Fall." All of the students at AJES were able to hear her story. Thank you, Mrs. Driscoll for you sharing your story with us.
