Just A Reminder that Picture Day is Monday! This is for retakes or for students that missed the first picture day.
Our second graders worked hard on turning a pumpkin into a fictional or nonfictional character and presenting in front of the class facts about what or who they created.
Students enjoyed a drone demonstration in front of the school this week.
Miss West Virginia Teen USA, Brylee Knotts spoke with our third and fourth grade students about positive events in their life.
Mrs. Tennant had the students make glowing art in art class this past week. Two first grade classes worked together to make a midnight sky with glowing stars and stretched cotton ball clouds. While 3rd and 4th grade classes painted colorful sugar skulls.
The staff had a great time decorating a scarecrow that has been displayed all month on the awning in front of the house,
This week we had a special visitor to the school, WV Author and Illustrator Ashley Belote. She read to the whole school via TEAMS her most recent book that she illustrated titled "Frankenslime". She also showed them how to make one of the slime recipes from the back of the book and how to illustrate Igor on of the characters in the book.
All of our students enjoyed Spooky Relays this week in gym class with Mrs. Dye! The students raced being zombies and practiced sliding. Students practiced galloping, running, and balance strategies while being witches. They then turned into skeletons and had to work hard on balance and coordination while trying to bring back as many eyeballs as they could to their pumpkins. The 2-4 grades also raced boys vs. girls to see who could wrap one of their peers up as a mummy

COVID numbers are trending in the wrong direction. Please assist us as we try to mitigate our numbers downward and follow all quarantine orders and making sure your child is wearing their mask properly. Together we can make a difference.
Most students enjoyed a nice fall hayride around the school campus today!
Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for all the classes to get go on a ride today but they will return for the other classes on another day.
