Tuesday evening Anna Jarvis Elementary School hosted the Taylor County Board of Education meeting. During the meeting the members and audience were entertained by a few of our third grade students. Mrs Poling had the students perform three songs. Two of the songs were about our monthly character traits from Capturing Kids Hearts and the last song was inspired by Dr. Stallings singing! The song was titled Snow Day and the students thought maybe they could sing with him sometime! During the meeting Mrs. Stead also congratulated one of our fourth grade students, Benji Cox. Benji will get to ride in a car for the Memorial Day Parade in May.

Smile West Virginia Mobile Dentist Program will be returning to Taylor County Schools. Students will be bringing home permission forms this week. If you are interested in services for your student, please complete the form and return the form to the school.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16th, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day for all Taylor County Schools.  This is NTI Day #1 for students. Students will learn from home and staff are to be available for support, from their assigned work site, from 10am-3pm. Parents and Guardians are asked to review our NTID Family Plan video for more information on student expectations, available teacher supports, and meal availability for students. This video can be viewed on our Taylor County Schools website, YouTube channel, and social media page.
