We have great news to share! The West Virginia Department of Education has approved our 180‑day calendar waiver request. This means we will NOT be required to make up three snow days this school year.

Welcome, Diane Kinney, to the Taylor County Family!
Diane is the new Assistant Principal at Anna Jarvis Elementary School. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Diane served in the Army as a Military Police officer. While raising a family, she earned her MA in Chemistry Education from Fairmont State University and Certification in Educational Leadership from Marshall University. For 15 years, Diane taught general science classes at Fairmont State University and then moved to secondary education where she taught higher level STEM classes at Notre Dame High School.
Diane is happily married, has 2 adult children, and a granddaughter who is the apple of her eye. She is a certified track and field official working meets from middle school to high school to college to the professional level.
