Message From Superintendent

A Message From The Superintendent:

As of today, February 14th, 2025, Tayor County has experienced a total of Six (6) "Snow Days".  This places us over the allowable limit of five (5) Snow Days per school year that we are not required to make up.  Once a County reaches that status of being over the allowable maximum of five (5) Snow Days, it is required to make up any additional Snow Days that may occur.   The recent shift of April 17th, 2025, to an instructional day will fulfill that current obligation, and was selected in accordance with policy to ensure that our goal of ensuring as much instructional opportunity prior to the Spring assessment is being met.

I hope this clarification is helpful.
