Full STEAM ahead at AJES!

Students enjoy STEAM activitiesScience, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, STEAM, activities will be available for students at Anna Jarvis this year.  Many new resources are being added to the lab, and teachers will be able to take their students there for exciting learning opportunities in addition to the STEAM club that was started last school year.

STEAM activities provide blended learning opportunities that teach critical thinking, reading, math and technology skills that are critical in student success.

Anna Jarvis Elementary has received a Grant from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History. With the STEAM Power WV grant the 3
rd grade class will be doing a project that will be taught collaboratively with the 3rd grade Teachers, Art Teacher,  and STEAM specialist. Throughout this project students will be learning lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math and applying what they have learned to project. The students will be working in teams on this project and the final project will be on display at Gallery 62 in Downtown Grafton in the March. Keep an eye out for more information on this project.
